चंद्रशेखर आजाद मध्य प्रदेश के गांव में पैदा हुए थे | 14 वर्ष की उम्र में चंद्रशेखर अपने घर से भागकर वाराणसी पहुंच कर स्वतंत्रता संग्राम आंदोलन में कूद पड़े | 1921 में इन्हें क्रांतिकारी गतिविधियों के कारण गिरफ्तार कर मजिस्ट्रेट के सामने पुलिस ने पेश किया | ब्रिटिश मजिस्ट्रेट के पूछने पर चंद शेखर ने अपना नाम “आजाद” पिता का नाम “स्वतंत्र” निवास “जेल” बताया |
Chandrasekhar Azad was born in a village in Madhya Pradesh. At the age of 14, Chandrasekhar ran from his home and reached Varanasi and jumped into the freedom struggle movement. In 1921, he was arrested for revolutionary activities and presented before the magistrate by the police. On the British magistrate’s inquiry, Chand Shekhar named his name “Azad” father’s name as “Independent” residence “Jail”.
मजिस्ट्रेट ने इन्हें 50 कोड़े की सजा दी | शरीर पर प्रत्येक कूड़ा लगने पर चंद्रशेखर “ भारत माता की जय” वंदे मातरम तथा महात्मा गांधी की जय” आदि का नारा लगाते थे |उस समय जनता नया दृश्य देखा तो उसने इनका नाम “आजाद” रख दिया | गांधी जी द्वारा असहयोग आंदोलन वापस लेने के बाद 1922 में चंद्रशेखर मन्मथ नाथ गुप्ता के संपर्क में आकर हिंदुस्तान सोशलिस्ट रिपब्लिकन आर्मी में प्रवेश किया तथा उत्तर प्रदेश के चीफ बने तथा 1924 में कमांडर इन चीफ बने |
The magistrate sentenced him to 50 whips. Chandrasekhar used to chant slogans like “Bharat Mata ki Jai”, Vande Mataram and Mahatma Gandhi ki Jai, etc. when every garbage hit the body. At that time when the public saw the new scene, he named it “Azad”. After Gandhiji withdrew the Non-Cooperation Movement, he came into contact with Chandrashekhar Manmath Nath Gupta in 1922 and entered the Hindustan Socialist Republican Army and became Chief of Uttar Pradesh and Commander in Chief in 1924.
चंद्रशेखर आजाद ने दीपावली आर्मी को चलाने के लिए दिल्ली तथा काकोरी ट्रेन डकैती डालकर सरकारी धन को लूटा | सरकार ने आजाद पर ₹10000 का इनाम घोषित किया | 27 फरवरी 1931 की सुबह 9:30 बजे चंद्रशेखर आजाद इलाहाबाद स्थित अल्फ्रेड पार्क में पहुंचे वहां पुलिस ने उनको घेर लिया | दोनों के बीच गोलीबारी हुई | जब आजाद के पिस्टल में एक गोली बची तो उसे उन्होंने अपने सिर में मारकर मृत्यु को वरण किया | इस प्रकार आजाद ने भारत की स्वतंत्रता के लिए अपने प्राण न्योछावर कर दिए |
Chandrashekhar Azad looted government money by running Delhi and Kakori train robbery to run Deepavali Army. The government announced a reward of ₹ 10000 on Azad. At 9:30 am on 27 February 1931, Chandrashekhar Azad arrived at Alfred Park in Allahabad, where the police surrounded him. There was a shootout between the two. When there was a bullet left in Azad’s pistol, he stabbed him to death in his head. Thus Azad laid down his life for the independence of India.
